This software update is required to correct inaccuracies that some customers may have experienced with credit card processing and W-2 printing.
- Credit card processing has been updated to correctly validate the zip code. Previously, the system would issue a warning message indicating a valid zip code did not match the cardholder’s information.
- W-2 processing has been updated to pull the Locality Name for box 20 from the employees’ information instead from Employee Defaults. Previously, the system pulled the name from Employee Defaults which is often “Local”. This only applies to W-2 forms printed on plain perforated paper.

Credit Card Gateway Improvements
Sage Software, the maker of your Peachtree software, recently acquired a leading merchant services company that will help to expand our current Peachtree Credit Card Service. As part of the acquisition, we will be incorporating additional features into our credit card service, which has been renamed to Peachtree Payment Solutions.
- Merchant Pair is Changing
Your Password and ID (Merchant Pair), which are stored in the software, will be updated automatically. During the download process of your Peachtree Service Release, your new Merchant Pair will be provided for reference. No action is required as this will be automated. - New Gateway
Your access (Gateway) to your credit card transaction data will be changed from YourPay to the new Peachtree Payment Solutions Gateway. All new transaction information will be available on the new Peachtree Payment Solutions Gateway. Historical data will remain on YourPay. - Processing Remains the same

Release 2007 SR-1 includes over 50 product corrections in the following areas of Peachtree:
Business Status Center and Navigation Centers
- Inactive accounts will no longer display under the Account Balances section when the option to "Hide Inactives" is checked.
- Vendors to Pay section will now respect when a vendor is marked inactive.
- The Inventory Navigation Center now includes access to features specific to the Peachtree Manufacturing and Peachtree Distribution products.
- All sections of the Navigation Centers will now display in archived companies.
Lists
- You will no longer be prompted to save an unsaved transaction when clicking a list view.
- The Paychecks List View will now display the Transmitted Checkbox in the Settings Screen.
Reports & Forms
- For Peachtree Quantum, the performance of the Item Costing report has been improved.
- The performance of the Job Profitability report has been improved when running Peachtree in a network environment.
- The performance of the Tax Liability report has been improved.
- The performance of the Yearly Earnings report has been improved.
- The performance of most Inventory reports has been improved.
- When printing a two page payment, the second page will now display the check number correctly.
Payroll
- Year-to-date amounts on payroll checks will now print correctly.
- The amount on the payment voucher will now match the liability amount on the 940 Form.
- The Payroll Wizard now has the ability to create the CASETT deduction.
- The Inventory Valuation report will no longer generate an error.
- The link for In-house Payroll setup Wizard is now properly displayed on the Services Page.
- Completed Print-n-Sign Forms will only be displayed once in the Existing Forms window.
- The W3 form will now correctly truncate phone numbers.

Account Reconciliation

Crystal Reports
- In Peachtree Quantum, the standard Crystal Reports will now install for the sample companies.
Jobs
- Peachtree will now display the Percent Complete on the Job List View, if it's a calculated value.
- Peachtree will now display Estimated Revenue on the Job List View, if it's a calculated value.
- In the Setup Guide, the Job Default will now display the appropriate version being used.
Archive Company
- The progress bar will now close after opening an archived company.
Recurring Transactions
- Peachtree will no longer mark recurred transactions as "Paid in Full" during the year-end close
Online Update
- The online update feature will now correctly launch the appropriate update.
Setup Guide
- The security mappings for the setup guide will now function as expected.
Import / Export
- If the Import /Export window is minimized, you can now reopen it by selecting it from the File Menu.
Roles and Security
- An invalid character has been removed from the list of default Roles.
Outlook Synchronization
- When uninstalling and reinstalling Peachtree, the sync settings will now be retained.
- Folders created during the Outlook Sync process now have the "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" checked by default.
- If the Outlook Sync window is minimized, focus will now return to the window by selecting from the File Menu.
Miscellaneous
- In Peachtree First Accounting, the Find a Transaction option has been removed
- A number of modality and focus issues have been addressed in this update
- The File.ddf has been modified to correctly represent the ticket.dat association.

Release 2006 SR-2 includes over 50 product corrections in the following areas of Peachtree:
Sales Invoicing
- Problems with editing a proposal at the same time the linked sales invoice is open have been resolved.
- Peachtree will now correctly save the Amount Paid at Sale when the transaction is printed prior to being saved.
- Peachtree will now display the correct line item descriptions for proposal line items that have jobs assigned.
- Peachtree will no longer ask to save a sales invoice when it has not been changed. In Peachtree Premium for Construction, this happened when a related job record with retainage was changed.
Quotes
- Peachtree will no longer issue a retainage error message when converting a quote to an invoice and a retainage default does not exist in Job defaults.
Receipts
- Peachtree will now correctly display the Credit Amount for the GL Freight Account on the Accounting Behind the Screens window. Note this problem only occurred in Cash Basis companies.
- Peachtree will now correctly pull the General Ledger Sales Account from the Maintain Inventory Items screen.
Customer Statements
- Peachtree now correctly calculates statement and report finance charges for large volumes of invoices.
Write Checks
- After saving a check, Peachtree will now correctly place the cursor in the Vendor ID field for new check transactions.
Reports & Financial Statements
- Peachtree now allows the Unit of Measure ID and Description fields to display on Peachtree Premium for Manufacturing and Distribution Accounts Payable Reports.
- Peachtree now displays the correct Item ID for transactions with a Cost of Sales Amount on the Accounts Receivable Cash Receipts Report.
- Peachtree will correctly display the Proposal #s title for invoices applied to proposals on customer statements.
- The Account Reconciliation Report will now display 0.00 when the unreconciled difference is zero.
- The Job Retainage Report, when summarized for jobs with only balance forward amounts, will now display the individual jobs.
- Peachtree will correctly total the Job Ledger, Job Register, and Job Profitability Reports when the Job Profit $ or Job Profit % fields display for retainage transactions.
- Versions of Microsoft Word earlier than 2002 will now close after using the Mail Merge feature in Peachtree.
- Peachtree now prints '941 Total Before Adjustment' and 'Fractions of Cents Adjustment' fields in addition to the '941 Total' field on the Tax Liability Report.
Payroll
- Payroll Formulas that include an INT function will now round correctly to the nearest dollar.
- Peachtree will now correctly re-calculate the Total Assigned Amount field on a payroll check when the labor burden percent for a job is changed.
Account Reconciliation
- Peachtree now correctly calculates the following fields: cleared amounts for Checks and Bank Debits & Deposits and Bank Credits; Outstanding Checks; Deposits in Transit.
- Peachtree will remember the default Account Reconciliation window size when navigating between it and other screens.
- Peachtree's data verification will now keep service and interest charges from a downloaded bank statement.
- The report that prints from the Account Reconciliation screen will now reference the correct General Ledger account being reconciled.
Payment Manager
- Corrected problems with the Cash Account and Number of Copies fields on the Payment Manager printing options screen.
Jobs (Progress Billing)
- Peachtree will now update the estimated expenses / revenues tab correctly when modifying a proposal and changing job information at the same time.
Quantity Discounts
- Peachtree now handles quantity discounts for quantities greater than 32,767.
Account Register
- Peachtree will no longer ask customers to save changes when drilling down from the Account Register and no changes have been made.
Time Tickets
- Some time tickets could not be edited or deleted after being added. This was a rare occurrence but it has been corrected.
Conversion
- Peachtree will now correctly convert Job Notes with carriage returns. This applies only to customers upgrading from prior releases.
Import / Export
- Peachtree Premium for Construction customers who upgraded from a prior release will now see the Retainage % and Labor Burden in the list of available fields for the Job List.
Integrity Check
- Re-indexing the Unit of Measure file for Peachtree Premium for Manufacturing or Distribution will no longer produce an error.
Credit Card Service
- Replaced an error message with one that offered instructions to fix the problem.
- Peachtree Credit Card Service will now correctly authorize transactions associated with customer names that included the special character "&"
Electronic Bill Payment
- Peachtree will now allow changing a password when an Electronic Bill Payment password expires.
Miscellaneous
- Help | About Peachtree Accounting now correctly displays Peachtree Premium for Construction and Nonprofits.
- References to Best Software have changed to Sage Software.
- Several Help topics have been updated to reflect new or corrected functionality in Peachtree.
- The Accounting Primer and Year-End Guides are now accessible from within all Peachtree Premium solutions.
- The FAS Fixed Assets product will now be selected to install for new customers.
- New customers will need to register the Peachtree product within 10 uses (previously 15 uses were allowed prior to registration).
Third-Party Add-On SDK
- The SDK will now correctly filter General Ledger account IDs and exclude all non-requested beginning balances.
- The SDK will now correctly open the Quotes screen.

Improvements include:
- Customer Statements and Finance Charges have been updated to calculate correctly. Previously, Customer Statements and Finance Charge calculations may have been inaccurate for customers with more than 100 invoices. In some instances, some older open invoices might have been excluded from the statements or reports.
- In Receipts, the general ledger account is now updating correctly. Previously, in Receipts, the general ledger account was not updating to reflect the GL Sales Account setup on the Maintain, Inventory Items window.
- Amount paid at sale has been updated to apply properly when an invoice number is assigned by print. Previously, if you created a sales invoice and entered the amount paid at sales, then printed the invoice to assign the invoice number, the amount paid at sale was not applying properly. This caused the invoice to have a status of unpaid and when the invoice was opened it had a negative amount in the Other Applied Credits field.
- Peachtree Credit Card Service has been updated with necessary changes. Previously, transactions associated with customer names that included the special character "&" were not authorizing as they should have.
- Payroll has been updated to round dollar amounts to the nearest dollar. Previously, the payroll formulas were not rounding to the nearest dollar. This rounding capability is required by many states in which Peachtree tax subscribers are located.
